Update: I haven't been back to Qinmetun since that visit in 2000, but I still keep in contact with Youjun,
and have even seen him a few times since then (most recently on a business trip in 2007). In 2008 he
returned to Qinmetun for Chinese New Year and sent me the photos, in which I was surprised to see that
they've totally renovated their house (the picture above is the same location, and grandad has since
passed away). I also heard that now there is even an actual road leading there (otherwise that motorcycle
wouldn't be of much use, now would it).
